The WTS scholarship program has awarded $23,500 and 18 scholarships since 2005. In awarding this annual WTS scholarship, Women in Thoracic Surgery is fulfilling one of its stated missions "to enhance the education of women thoracic surgeons." The scholarship is open to women residents in an accredited thoracic surgery or general surgery program. International applicants in approved surgical training programs are also welcome.
